The course

The 2026 101 km Big Foot Loop of the Cranbrook Gravel Grind, a gravel loop from Idlewild Park in Cranbrook to Lake Koocanusa.

The 2026 Cranbrook Gravel Grind was raced on Saturday, September 5, starting and finishing at Idlewild Park in Cranbrook, British Columbia. The Big Foot Loop heads out on Gold Creek Road and the Chief Isadore and Trans Canada trails, then crosses the farmland of Wardner, with the Steeples and Lake Koocanusa as a backdrop, on Wardner-Kikomun Road. It then climbs Teepee Creek Road — the main climb, about 303 metres between km 52 and km 64 — and comes down Gold Creek Road to Idlewild Park. The highest point is at 1,339 metres. In all, 1,400 metres of climbing, according to the organizer. This is the exact route plotted here — every turn at its precise intersection.

Why This Ride

The Cranbrook Gravel Grind is East Kootenay gravel: hidden trails, the farmland of Wardner, the Steeples and Lake Koocanusa. Here, it's the Big Foot Loop, the big 101 km loop. Your race, preserved in ink, one line at a time.

Make the Achievement Yours

Add a name, finish time or short dedication to turn the artwork into a personal record of the work behind the medal. Personalization is optional; leave the field blank for the original composition.

How It Is Made

The composition, hierarchy and final linework are directed by a person. A pen plotter then draws the artwork physically, line by line, with ink on paper. Small production variations can occur during physical plotting.

Plotted by a robot. Designed by a person.
