The course

The 500 km GBC500 gravel bikepacking loop from Magog, across the Eastern Townships.

The start is in downtown Magog, in the Eastern Townships. The loop heads through Bolton-Est and Potton, at the foot of the Sutton mountains and along Lake Memphremagog, then climbs north through Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton, Saint-Joachim-de-Shefford and Bonsecours — the highest point of the course, at 436 metres, comes at km 150. It comes back through Magog, then sets out again toward Hatley and Coaticook — the main climb, about 220 metres between km 353 and km 363 — before returning to Magog through Stanstead. About 85% unpaved, according to the organizer. This is the exact route plotted here — every turn at its precise intersection.

Why This Ride

The GBC500 is 500 km of gravel across the Eastern Townships, self-supported, between mountains, lakes and villages. Here, it's the full loop. Your ride, preserved in ink, one line at a time.

Make the Achievement Yours

Add a name, finish time or short dedication to turn the artwork into a personal record of the work behind the medal. Personalization is optional; leave the field blank for the original composition.

How It Is Made

The composition, hierarchy and final linework are directed by a person. A pen plotter then draws the artwork physically, line by line, with ink on paper. Small production variations can occur during physical plotting.

Plotted by a robot. Designed by a person.
