The course

The 110 km road course, a loop from Southampton through Port Elgin and the Kincardine countryside, on the shore of Lake Huron.

The start is in Southampton, Ontario, on the shore of Lake Huron. The loop heads south through Port Elgin, then inland on the Saugeen Shores concession roads — the highest point of the course, at 266 metres, comes at km 30. It crosses the Kincardine countryside on Bruce Road 33, Albert Road and Bruce Road 23 — the main climb, about 60 metres between km 60 and km 72 — then returns north on Lake Range Road and Saugeen Beach Road to Southampton. This is the exact route plotted here — every turn at its precise intersection.

Why This Ride

The Gran Fondo Lake Huron is the Lake Huron shore and the country roads of Bruce County, at the end of summer. Here, it's the 110 km road loop. Your ride, preserved in ink, one line at a time.

Add a name, finish time or short dedication to turn the artwork into a personal record of the work behind the medal. Personalization is optional; leave the field blank for the original composition.

How It Is Made

The composition, hierarchy and final linework are directed by a person. A pen plotter then draws the artwork physically, line by line, with ink on paper. Small production variations can occur during physical plotting.
