The course

The 122 km Classic Range course of The Range Gravel, a gravel loop from Claresholm, Alberta, through the Porcupine Hills and along Skyline Road.

The Range Gravel starts in Claresholm, Alberta. The Classic Range loop heads west on the township roads of Willow Creek and Highway 520, through open grasslands, then enters the dense forest of the Porcupine Hills — the main climb, about 441 metres between km 42 and km 54 — up to Skyline Road, with sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains; the highest point is at 1,754 metres. It crosses two creeks on a private road through the Burke Creek Ranch, established in 1890, then returns on Highway 520 and the township roads to Claresholm. In all, 1,606 metres of climbing, according to the organizer. This is the exact route plotted here — every turn at its precise intersection.

Why This Ride

The Range is Alberta foothills gravel: grasslands, the Porcupine Hills forest, Skyline Road and the Rockies on the horizon. Here, it's the Classic Range, the 122 km loop. Your race, preserved in ink, one line at a time.

Make the Achievement Yours

Add a name, finish time or short dedication to turn the artwork into a personal record of the work behind the medal. Personalization is optional; leave the field blank for the original composition.

How It Is Made

The composition, hierarchy and final linework are directed by a person. A pen plotter then draws the artwork physically, line by line, with ink on paper. Small production variations can occur during physical plotting.

Plotted by a robot. Designed by a person.
