The course
The 123 km Esperto course of the West Coast Slugger, a gravel loop from the Stirling Arm log sort in Port Alberni on the forest roads of the Sproat Lake and Bamfield areas.
The West Coast Slugger, the fourth stop of the BC Gravel Series, runs on Sunday, June 13, 2027. The start is at the Mosaic Forest Management Stirling Arm log sort in Port Alberni, British Columbia. The Esperto loop heads out on Canal Main and Stirling Arm Road, then Gracie Main and Nahmint Main, returns to Canal Main, then takes on Cous Main — the main climb, about 425 metres between km 70 and km 82, leads toward the highest point of the course, at 613 metres. It comes down Kanyon Main and returns on Canal Main to the start. An iconic steep climb, a descent to match and waterfront views. This is the exact route plotted here — every turn at its precise intersection.

Why This Ride
The West Coast Slugger is the crown jewel of BC gravel: an iconic steep climb, a descent to match and West Coast views all the way. Here, it's the Esperto, the big 123 km loop. Your race, preserved in ink, one line at a time.
Make the Achievement Yours
Add a name, finish time or short dedication to turn the artwork into a personal record of the work behind the medal. Personalization is optional; leave the field blank for the original composition.
How It Is Made
The composition, hierarchy and final linework are directed by a person. A pen plotter then draws the artwork physically, line by line, with ink on paper. Small production variations can occur during physical plotting.
Plotted by a robot. Designed by a person.
