The course
The official 2026 half marathon course, starting and finishing at ExpoCité, next to the Centre Vidéotron.
The start is at ExpoCité, next to the Centre Vidéotron. The course crosses the Saint-Charles River and Saint-Roch, then climbs to the Plains of Abraham — the only real climb, about 60 metres between km 4 and km 6. After Grande Allée, it drops back to the river on Boulevard Champlain, runs past the Citadelle, Place Royale and the Old Port, then crosses the Saint-Charles River again into Limoilou and Lairet, finishing at Place Jean-Béliveau. This is the exact route plotted here — every turn at its precise intersection.

Why This Half Marathon
A half marathon is often the first real distance you train months for, or the one you run to beat your own time. In Québec City, it's the climb to the Plains of Abraham, then the run down to the river and the Old Port. For CodeInk.art, it's also the city where every line is drawn: your finish, preserved in ink in the same city.
Make the Achievement Yours
Add a name, finish time or short dedication to turn the artwork into a personal record of the work behind the medal. Personalization is optional; leave the field blank for the original composition.
How It Is Made
The composition, hierarchy and final linework are directed by a person. A pen plotter then draws the artwork physically, line by line, with ink on paper. Small production variations can occur during physical plotting.
Plotted by a robot. Designed by a person.
