The course

La grande traversée of the Chic-Chocs: 172 km and 9,340 m of climbing on the International Appalachian Trail, from the Réserve faunique de Matane to the foot of Mont Albert.

A linear course over the highest summits of Québec. It starts at the entrance to the Chic-Chocs, near the welcome station of the Réserve faunique de Matane, follows the International Appalachian Trail through the Parc national de la Gaspésie and finishes at the UTCC Village at the foot of Mont Albert. 14 aid stations and a 50-hour time limit, almost entirely on single track.

Why this race

La grande traversée is the hardest line in Québec: the highest summits, the International Appalachian Trail and 9,340 m of climbing over two nights. Your race and your time, preserved in ink.

Make the Achievement Yours

Add a name, finish time or short dedication to turn the artwork into a personal record of the work behind the medal. Personalization is optional; leave the field blank for the original composition.

How It Is Made

The composition, hierarchy and final linework are directed by a person. A pen plotter then draws the artwork physically, line by line, with ink on paper. Small production variations can occur during physical plotting.

Plotted by a robot. Designed by a person.
