The course
The IRONMAN 70.3 Calgary course on one sheet: the 1.9 km swim in Ghost Lake, the 90 km point-to-point bike to Cochrane facing the Rockies, and the 21.1 km run along the Bow River — pen-plotted in Québec City.
The swim is one 1.9 km loop in Ghost Lake, a freshwater lake 15 minutes west of Cochrane, with a rolling start from the boat launch, counterclockwise with the buoys on your left. The bike runs point to point from Ghost Lake to Cochrane's Historic Ranche (T2), through Cowboy Country with views of the Rocky Mountains: Township Road 263, Grand Valley Road, Township Road 280, Range Road 42 and Horse Creek Road, then into Cochrane on Sunset Drive — about 560 metres of climbing, highest point 1,354 metres. The run is two path loops along the Bow River, through Riverfront Park and the Glen Boles Trail, before the finish at Cochrane's Historic Ranche — about 150 metres of climbing. This is the exact route plotted here — every turn at its precise intersection.

Why This Triathlon
Calgary is a half distance at the foot of the Rockies: a swim in Ghost Lake, a point-to-point bike through Cowboy Country, and two loops along the Bow River to Cochrane's Historic Ranche. Your 113 km, preserved in ink — drawn by a robot, decided by a person, made in Canada.
Make the Achievement Yours
Add a name, finish time or short dedication to turn the artwork into a personal record of the work behind the medal. Personalization is optional; leave the field blank for the original composition.
How It Is Made
The composition, hierarchy and final linework are directed by a person. A pen plotter then draws the artwork physically, line by line, with ink on paper. Small production variations can occur during physical plotting.
Plotted by a robot. Designed by a person.
