The course
The IRONMAN 70.3 Victoria course on one sheet: the 1.9 km swim in Elk Lake, the 90 km single-loop bike to the tip of the Saanich Peninsula, and the 21.1 km trail run around Elk and Beaver Lakes — pen-plotted in Québec City.
The swim is one 1.9 km loop in Elk Lake, a freshwater lake, with a rolling start from Hamsterley Beach: south with the buoys on your right, then north back to shore. The bike is a single 90 km loop through Saanich, Central Saanich and North Saanich: Cordova Bay Road with views of Haro Strait, Lochside Drive up to Lands End Road at the tip of the peninsula, then back via West Saanich Road and Wallace Drive along Saanich Inlet — about 840 metres of climbing, highest point 157 metres. The run is two trail loops around Elk and Beaver Lakes before the finish on Hamsterley Beach — about 60 metres of climbing. Swim, transitions and finish are all in the same place. This is the exact route plotted here — every turn at its precise intersection.

Why This Triathlon
Victoria is a half distance between lake and ocean: a swim in Elk Lake, one big bike loop to the tip of the Saanich Peninsula facing Haro Strait, and two trail loops around the lakes. Your 113 km, preserved in ink — drawn by a robot, decided by a person, made in Canada.
Make the Achievement Yours
Add a name, finish time or short dedication to turn the artwork into a personal record of the work behind the medal. Personalization is optional; leave the field blank for the original composition.
How It Is Made
The composition, hierarchy and final linework are directed by a person. A pen plotter then draws the artwork physically, line by line, with ink on paper. Small production variations can occur during physical plotting.
Plotted by a robot. Designed by a person.
