A technical plan of the de Havilland Venom NF.3, plotted pen to paper, line by line, on 250 g/m² paper, 11 × 17 in. A physical tip presses into the paper and lays down real ink, one pass at a time. On the back, a serial number and date, plotted in UV ink in the same pass as the drawing.
The plan of the Venom exists as a file, everywhere. What doesn't exist everywhere is a copy someone can point to and say who drew it, where, on what day, and under what serial number.
The de Havilland Venom began as a refinement of the company's earlier Vampire, fitted with a thinner wing and a more powerful Ghost engine for high-altitude work. The NF.3, shown here, widened the single-seat cockpit to fit a radar operator alongside the pilot and added airborne interception radar in the nose — a stopgap night fighter that entered RAF service in 1955 and was retired just two years later when the Gloster Javelin arrived. 129 were built. This blueprint captures its twin-boom tail and bulbous cockpit pod, a design lineage that ran from the Vampire through the Venom to the Sea Vixen.

Each piece is physically plotted by the studio's precision robot in Québec City, using Stabilo® Fineliners and Sakura® Gelly Roll inks on 250 gsm (120 lb) stock — stroke by stroke, never printed. A physical tip presses into the paper and lays down real ink. The result is a tactile, hand-plotted finish — never printed.
