The D575A-3 exists as a spec sheet and a photo, everywhere — a drawing anyone can call up on a screen. What doesn't exist everywhere is a copy that can say who traced it, where, and under what serial number.
The Komatsu D575A-3 is a crawler bulldozer built by Komatsu in Japan — commonly cited as the world's largest production bulldozer. In its Super Dozer (SD) configuration, it has an operating weight of 152,600 kg (336,400 lb) and a ground pressure of 160 kPa (23 psi) despite that mass, spread across 9.43 m² of track contact area. It measures 11.71 m (38.4 ft) long, 7.39 m (24.3 ft) wide with the standard blade, and 4.88 m (16 ft) tall. That standard blade holds 69 m³ (90 cu yd); an optional wider blade on the SD variant raises capacity to 96 m³ (125 cu yd). Power comes from a Komatsu SA12V170E V12 diesel engine rated at 860 kW (1,150 hp) — turbocharged, intercooled, and water-cooled. Only 53 machines were built across all D575A variants between 1989 and 2012, including a Super Ripper (SR) configuration with a single-shank ripper reaching 2.06 m (6 ft 9 in) deep.

Each piece is physically plotted by the studio's precision robot in Québec City, using Stabilo® Fineliners and Sakura® Gelly Roll inks on 250 gsm (120 lb) stock — stroke by stroke, never printed. A physical tip presses into the paper and lays down real ink. The result is a tactile, hand-plotted finish — never printed.
