The Lockheed L-1049C Super Constellation was a stretched, more powerful evolution of the original Constellation, built to compete directly with the Douglas DC-6B on long-haul routes. Instantly recognizable by its dolphin-shaped fuselage and distinctive triple tail, it entered service with Eastern Air Lines in December 1951 before flying for TWA, Air France, KLM, and Qantas. For much of the 1950s, it was among the fastest and most comfortable ways to cross the Atlantic — before jet airliners made propeller-driven giants like it obsolete.

Each piece is physically plotted by the studio's precision robot in Québec City, using Stabilo® Fineliners and Sakura® Gelly Roll inks on 250 gsm (120 lb) stock — stroke by stroke, never printed. A physical tip presses into the paper and lays down real ink. The result is a tactile, hand-plotted finish — never printed.
