A technical plan of the Vought F4U-1 Corsair, plotted pen to paper, line by line, on 250 g/m² paper, 11 × 17 in. A physical tip presses into the paper and lays down real ink, one pass at a time. On the back, a serial number and date, plotted in UV ink in the same pass as the drawing.
The plan of the Corsair exists as a file, everywhere. What doesn't exist everywhere is a copy someone can point to and say who drew it, where, on what day, and under what serial number.
The Chance Vought F4U-1 Corsair first flew May 29, 1940, and became the first single-engine American fighter to fly faster than 400 mph. Its inverted gull wing wasn't a styling choice: it let engineers fit the huge propeller needed for the 2,000hp R-2800 engine while keeping the landing gear short enough to fold cleanly into the wing. The bent-wing shape and rumbling 6-gun armament made it a favourite of Pacific pilots, who called it "Whistling Death" for the sound it made in a dive. Over 12,500 were built across all variants, one of the longest production runs of any piston fighter in history. This blueprint captures the earliest "birdcage" canopy version, before later models widened visibility with a bubble canopy.

Each piece is physically plotted by the studio's precision robot in Québec City, using Stabilo® Fineliners and Sakura® Gelly Roll inks on 250 gsm (120 lb) stock — stroke by stroke, never printed. A physical tip presses into the paper and lays down real ink. The result is a tactile, hand-plotted finish — never printed.
