not a print shop
A studio obsessed
with permanence.
In an age where images are disposable and art is algorithmic, CodeInk makes things that last. Not on a screen. Not behind glass. On paper — drawn line by line by a machine that doesn't rush.
Founded in 2025 by a Colombian living in Quebec City, CodeInk was born from a single conviction: some things deserve to exist beyond the screen. Beyond the cloud. Beyond the swipe.
We use high-precision plotting robots to draw with real archival ink on museum-quality cotton paper. Every line is physically deposited. Every piece is unique. Every edition is permanent.
The Origin
"When I arrived in the cold winters of Quebec, I realized that while languages can be barriers, art and geometry are universal. I found comfort in the precision of code and the warmth of paper. CodeInk is my way of merging those two worlds: the story of where we come from, drafted with the technology of where we are going."
THE MACHINE DRAWS
The paper remembers
0
pixels
Real archival ink physically deposited into cotton fiber, line by line. No laser. No inkjet. No digital intermediary between the idea and the paper.
4–6H
Avg. draw time per piece
The robot doesn't rush. The pen descends, traces, lifts, repositions. For hours. The variation in pressure is not a flaw — it's the proof it's real.
200
Year ink lifespan
Archival Stabilo® ink on cotton paper. Longer than most institutions. Longer than the moment it was made for.
the temporary
AGAINST
Every piece we produce is built to outlive the moment it was made for. The blueprint of a machine that changed history. The schematic of a vessel that never came back. We don't make decoration.
We make documents of permanence.
